Bloom Journal Entry

Hello!  It's another snowy day in the mountains and looks like it's not going to let up any time soon.

This kind of weather always starts me day dreaming about spring and colourful flowers.
Here is an Art Journal Page that I drew with my markers for the most part.

For the friend I used a stamp from Quietfire Design Set # 5853 it has the sweetest little heart on each letter. I split a couple of die cuts and added some of the scrap bits around the flower. To complete I added rhinestone hearts that I coloured to match my flower. I'm entering this in the Die Cut Divas -Feb Challenge which is being sponsored this month by Quietfire Design. There are always lots of inspiring projects to check out at Die Cut Divas Blog and also at Die Cut Divas Flicker Group.

Friends may not always be close by, but they are never far from your heart!

Thanks for the postcard my snowbird friend!

Have a lovely day all!

The True Harvest of My Daily Life... -Card

Hello, today I'm sharing a quick to make card, using a wonderful
quote stamp from Quietfire Design.

Instructions:
Cut a 8-1/2" x 6-1/2" pc of Core'dinations cardstock and fold in half for base, set aside.

Stamp Quietfire Design Quote on 4"x 6" pc of CS Superstock in Jet Black AI,  heat emboss with Clear EP and heat tool.

Swipe Distress Ink pads directly on CS Superstock, start with Squeezed lemonade in center, then Wild honey over and to the right and same with Tumbled glass on left.

Allow to dry, using the 2nd largest SB Large Deckles Rectangle Die as a stencil hold on angle to quote, with  Blue jeans DI ink all around die using a dauber. Leave Die in place and allow ink to dry. Trace around die with Clear Glitter pen. Move Die to angle opposing way and again trace around this time using Black Glitter pen.

Using Perfect pearls and a paint brush, paint swirls over only the blue areas outside of the Die tracings.
To complete run Faded jeans DI around the edge of panel, adhere to base and add Star stickers.

 Supplies used:
Quietfire Design stamp is #6355-1
+ Canadian Scrapbooker Superstock.

Now I'm off to make a collage to enter into Anna's Art Creative March.
So long for now, thanks for stopping by!

Friendship Bookmark

Hello! My first share today is a Bookmark and ATC I made using a
fun background I'm calling Dauber and Lace.

The  Friendship sentiment is from Quietfire Design

Seahorse Dance ATC

I  received these bits of lace as gifts from my ATC trades and I have to say it is very cool looking!

For a quick and fun background I used the Lace as a stencil and simply dabbed the ink on with a Dauber. Then made a scalloped edge by continuing along both sides of the lace.

I love this Peacock stamp it is the perfect size for a bookmark.
The Dance to your own music stamp is also from Inkadinkado.

Queen of Hearts - Thinking of You

Welcome to the Queen of Hearts Event!
Here is my contribution!
For my 5"x 7" Card I used the small Thinking of You stamp from Quietfire Design
I cut the Birch Trio and Bird Memory Box Dies from card stock and set aside. Then inked up the back of the  Birch Trio die with Iced Spruce DI and stamped it onto card front to create a shadow for the trees. I created the snowy background and sky with pastels and a torn strip of card stock as a mask (photo detail).

Starting at the base of each tree I painted the tree shadows on the snow with Iced Spruce DI. When all was good and dry I attached the Birch Trio die cut over the tree shadow. Then randomly sprayed Smooch Spritz on all but the sky area.

I cut a strip of Vellum and stamped Thinking of You with Jet Black Archival Ink then again with Silver Encore Ink. Once ink was dry I attached Vellum to card front with Double sided tape. To complete the card I added the Ribbon and Bird die cut.

Thanks for hopping by! Jutta
